Originally referred to as Salvage Box: Vehicle, Battfield Support Salvage Box was created as a part of the 2023 Mercenaries Crowdfunding Campaign with two vehicle miniatures in each Salvage Box determined randomly from the BattleTech: Mercenaries boxset and Recon & Hunter, Assault & Cavalry, Battle & Fire, Objectives, Heavy Battle & Sweep and Rifle & Command Battlefield Support ForcePacks. While the vehicles in those boxes are paired, the Salvage box selections are not with one caveat: the Mobile Long Tom vehicle which consists of two separately based components (the gun and ammunition trailer) are automatically included together if the Long Tom is the random choice. Battlefield Support salvage boxes were available in the crowdfunding campaign through three routes: the Battlefield Support boxes could be purchased as campaign add-ons, those who backed the campaign at a level that entitled them to receive lance or star packs and chose to receive a lance pack received one free 'Mech Salvage Box per lance pack to ensure parity of 'Mechs could instead select this box for additional cost per box; those who pledged at the Recruit tier or higher received one or more free Salvage Boxes as a part of their pledge could again choose to select the Battlefield Support Salvage box for an extra fee.
