Among the new features added in Bōeki are the 20 Privilege cards, which players can obtain as they advance along the Passage of Time track. These cards grant special bonuses that alter certain requirements, such as dice rolls or the cost of certain actions.

Another new feature is the Daimyo Gift tiles, which are taken at the beginning of the game during the initial card selection.
